Your rebate, made easier

Cambridge Mass Save Rebate Help

This year's rebate for a whole-house system can be up to $8,500, figured by the ton and tied to a few program conditions. We help you see where you stand and take on the paperwork alongside you.

Rebates Are Generous When You Know the Rules

Leaving oil costs less than many people expect once the rebate is counted. In 2026 a whole-home air-source system can earn up to $8,500, calculated per ton of capacity. That makes sizing important, and it makes the rules important too.

The main conditions are simple to list and easy to trip over. Your home needs a Home Energy Assessment, which is free to the homeowner, and the insulation and air sealing that assessment recommends. The equipment must be a cold-climate model on the program's qualified list. Someone must live in the home full time through the winter. And when a heat pump takes over the heating for an area of the house, the old boiler or furnace for that area has to be taken out, shut off for good or wired to integrated controls so it runs only during a severe freeze.

If a whole-home system is not the right fit yet, a partial-home system still earns a rebate, just a smaller one. We show you both options with the numbers side by side. Once you decide, we gather the equipment information, prepare the rebate documents with you and follow the claim through until it is done. You sign; we take care of the chasing.

How We Help With Your Rebate

Each step the incentive depends on, handled with you.

  • A first eligibility look

Utility, occupancy and heating fuel compared with the program rules before any design begins.

  • Energy assessment guidance

Help getting the assessment on the calendar and making sense of the report afterward.

  • Weatherization to-do list

The insulation and sealing work the report calls for, organized so the whole-home path stays open.

  • Two options compared

Whole-home and partial-home systems priced with their rebate estimates, side by side.

  • Equipment on the list

The exact indoor and outdoor models confirmed on the qualified list before you approve anything.

  • Claim paperwork

Rebate documents prepared with you and followed until the program accepts them.

The Rebate Path, Simplified

  1. Talk it over

A phone conversation about your utility, your fuel and your home tells us which rebate path looks realistic.

  2. Get ready

The assessment and any recommended weatherization happen, and the system is designed to fit the rules.

  3. Collect

After installation, the paperwork is finished and sent in, and we keep an eye on it until it clears.

Why Homeowners Let Us Handle the Rebate

  • No surprises after install

We check the rules before the design, so the system you choose is one the program pays on.

  • The math, explained

You see how tonnage becomes a rebate estimate and which conditions it depends on.

  • Someone to ask

Questions about forms go to people who know your project, not a general hotline.
