Heating and cooling together
Cambridge Heat Pump Installation
Say goodbye to the oil tank with a winter-ready heat pump that also keeps summers comfortable, designed for your rooms and paired with the rebates you qualify for.
Comfort That Does Not Come From a Delivery Truck
If you heat with oil, you know the routine: watch the gauge, schedule the fill, hope the burner starts on the coldest morning. A heat pump ends that routine. It draws heat from the outdoor air, even on frosty days, and brings it inside. When summer comes, it does the opposite and cools the house.
The secret to a good installation is not the brand on the box. It is the design. We start by measuring the house: each room, the windows, the insulation in the attic and walls. From that we work out how much heat the home really loses, and that number decides how much capacity you need. It is a common mistake to just match the old boiler, which was often far bigger than necessary.
Then we decide how the heat gets to each room. Homes with good ductwork can use a central air handler. Homes with radiators or baseboard usually do better with indoor heads mounted on walls or ceilings. Many Cambridge houses end up with a combination. Nothing gets ordered until you have looked over the drawing, the cost and our rebate estimate and feel good about all three.
Part of Every Heat Pump Install
Here is what you can count on, whatever size the job is.
A real heat-loss calculation
Every room measured so the system is neither too small for January nor too big for comfort.
Equipment that fits the rebate
Cold-weather models from the program's qualified list, so your incentive stays within reach.
Thoughtful placement
Outdoor units set where they drain well, stay above the snow and fit the yard, indoor units where they reach the whole room.
Neat refrigerant lines
Lines and drains run through closets or under tidy covers that blend with the house.
Electrical coordination
The circuits the new system needs, planned in from the start rather than discovered on install day.
Controls you understand
Every zone gets its own easy control, plus integrated controls when the boiler sticks around as backup.
Startup and a walkthrough
System checks at startup, then a relaxed tour of the settings, filters and what to expect.
